One World Romania 2020
BUCHAREST, + tour in the country - Roumanie
Du 20 mars 2020 au 29 mars 2020
STR. AUSTRULUI 30, AP.2,
The 13th edition of the One World Romania International Film Festival of Documentary & Human Rights will take place between March 20th and March 29th 2020 in Bucharest.
One World Romania is one of the two most important International documentary film festivals of Roumania, as well as the only Roumanian film festival dedicated to human rights.
We invite you to submit your latest creative author documentaries related to human rights. Short, medium and feature length.
The films must have been completed after January 2018 and must be subtitled in English.
Submission deadline is the 31th of October 2019.
We strongly insist that the Festival is not seeking news reports, film report, television report, current affairs programs, promotional or corporate films : a "human rights good subject" is not enough to be selected as we are not a journalism festival.
The way the films are made is essential, we are looking forward to discover cinematographic approaches - your own and unique cinematographic approach -, and we aim to share it with our audience.
nb - with the consent of the director/producer/distributor, the film can also be part of a program or special events in Bucharest (educational screenings, or reruns within the "One World Romania's Cineclub"), or throughout the country (educational screenings, or mini OWR festivals) after the edition of the festival.

Thanks.

11 - Author films, creative documentary : The festival gives priority to cinematographic writing and approaches, in a broad understanding of documentary that can challenge the traditional borders of the genre, length, format or form.
